After such a successful Door Open Days in September the Scottish Mask and Puppet Centre is delighted to announce we are up and running just for the October Holidays with a Children and Families Events Programme:
SATURDAY 15TH: CAFE OPEN DAY * COLOUR - IN CUT OUT PUPPETS
10.30 AM - 4.30PM
There is wizardry at work behind our doors – the magical world of masks and puppets! Our cafe has children’s colour-in/cut-out puppet and mask activity kits (£2.50 each or 3 for £6.00), all felt tips, scissors, etc…provided to make your puppet or mask at the cafe tables. The cafe will be serving light refreshments, home-baking and delicious barista Alfie & Co. Coffee. Browse the exhibits or check out our new gift shop stocked with, puppets, masks retro games, wooden toys, books and more!
SUNDAY 16TH: THE MAGIC CIRCUS * MAGIC DEN

Roll up! Roll up! Magic Den presents The Magic Circus! An exciting, fun, fast-paced and colourful magic show for all the family. Everyone from 3-93 is sure to love this interactive show and you could be a star in Den’s Magic Circus.
MONDAY 17TH: WHO WILL MARRY MISS MOUSE? SHOW & W/SHOP * COLLEEN MAGENNIS
10.30 / 1.30 / 3.30PM
A Japanese folk tale with a twist and of course a happy ending! When Miss Mouse falls in love with Mr Mole….ahhh….but Papa mouse has other plans! Including our after-show workshop to make your very own make your own Mouse with the puppeteers help. A £6.95 / C £5.95
TUESDAY 18TH: MAKE IT - CRAFTY PUPPETS WORKSHOP * SMPC

Our great rod puppet-making workshop is back! Have a wonderful time creating your very own rod puppet. Build your design from all our colourful bits and bobs and learn to do amazing things with recycled materials. Have fun styling your hair and costume, learn how to operate your puppet and give your puppet a name to take home! All materials included. A £6.95 / C £6.95 Please Note: Adults need to book a ticket if going into the workshop.
WEDNESDAY 19TH: LOST BEAR * CLYDEBUILT PUPPET THEATRE

Lost toys, lost hats, lost socks, lost umbrella…. goodness me! A world full of lost things means Lost Bear goes on a journey to find his way home, in a show created with a sense of fun and adventure, for all those, large and small, who still love their toys…..even the grown ups!

FRIDAY 21ST: WHERE’S THE GHOST * GARY DUNN

Gary’s back, but where’s the Ghost? It’s nearly Halloween and Gary will have you laughing your socks off in his amazing comedy magic show for all the family along with his trusty side kick Chico the Monkey. “Fantastic kids loved him and so did the parents”. Kevin Murray
