Melbourne sister duo Charm of Finches deliver intricate folk-pop that is simultaneously graceful and darkly bewitching. Their seamless blood harmonies traverse melancholy and wonder, intimacy and whimsy, in equal measure.
The sisters, Mabel and Ivy Windred-Wornes, toured the UK and Europe in Spring/Summer 2022 and returned to the UK in January 2023, and return to the UK in Summer 2024.
Winners of the Australian Folk Music Awards Best Folk Album (2022) and Music Victoria Best Folk Act (2021), their music has been nominated twice for the prestigious Australian Music Prize.
At the beginning of 2023, the duo recorded their fourth album in regional Nova Scotia, Canada with acclaimed producer Daniel Ledwell (The Good Lovelies, Jenn Grant). Inspired by the frozen landscape around them, the new body of work reflects a fresh perspective of home, travel and the liminal state between.
