The process of block printing is calming and meditative, and at the same time there's something really satisfying and exciting about gradually seeing a pattern grow on your fabric. Combining your own choice of colours and pattern motifs means the options for creativity are endless. (See demo's on Instagram)

Karené will talk you through the subtleties of getting the right amount of ink and pressure and then you'll have the chance to explore scattered motifs, linear motifs and connected pattern repeats. Your pattern can be as simple or as complicated as you want it to be and no drawing skills are required.

When you find pattern so intriguing that you want to carve your own motifs, you may wish to come to a linocut fabric printing session.
