Under the direction of Marine Medvetskaya, Saint Petersburg Classic Ballet has won plaudits across Russia, Scandinavia and the United States, and UK audiences now have the opportunity to experience the superb artistry of this acclaimed company on its first UK tour this autumn.

Combining classical training and technique with the best-loved Russian ballets, Saint Petersburg Classic Ballet’s performances have an air of magic, complemented by a full orchestra and outstanding male soloists who will take your breath away!

Touring the UK with a traditional repertoire which features principle dancer Natalia Romanova - one of the pupils of the late legendary ballerina Natalya Dudinskaya – the ballets will certainly enchant dance fans. In Glasgow it will be the first opportunity for Scottish dance fans to enjoy Saint Petersburg Classic Ballet’s delightful interpretation on the popular festive tale The Nutcracker. A perfect introduction to ballet, Clara is whisked away on a fairy tale adventure by her Nutcracker prince.

Saint Petersburg Ballet Theatre was formed in 1996 by Marina Medvetskaya, who herself is a disciple of Vakhtang Chaboukiana and was the Prima Ballerina of the Tbilisi State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.

The What's On Network has teamed up with Saint Petersburg Classic Ballet to offer you the chance to win one of ten pairs of tickets to The Nutcracker on Sunday 15th November at The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall at 7.30pm.

Terms & Conditions

1. Competition closes at 9am (BST) on Thursday 12th November and 10 lucky winners will be drawn at random from the correct entries. Entries received after this deadline will not be accepted.

2. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older on the day the competition closes to enter.

3. By entering the competition, entrants agree to be signed up to the What's On e-mailing list, unless specifically stating otherwise.

4. The winners will each receive 2 tickets to the Saint Petersburg Classic Ballet The Nutcracker on Sunday 15th November 2015. The allocation of tickets is at the competition organisers discretion and the tickets are non-transferable.

5. The selected winners will be contacted by the competition organisers within 1 day of the competition ending. In the unlikely event, that after reasonable efforts, the organiser is unable to contact a winner, the prize will be withdrawn and a reserve winner will be drawn. The reserve winner will be notified and if the reserve winner cannot be contacted the prize will be withdrawn.

6. The promoter's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

7. There is no cash alternative and the prize is not transferable.
