New season programme for Kings and Theatre Royal!
The King's and Theatre Royal Glasgow have another jam-packed season in store this Autumn, over Christmas and into 2017!

The King’s and Theatre Royal jam-packed autumn season is already well underway with classics such as Cats and The Mousetrap going down a treat earlier this with much more to come in the run up to the festive season and we’ve even got a glimpse as to what the new year will bring...
King’s Theatre
She wowed us while stepping into Whitney Houston’s shoes in The Bodyguard last year and now Alexandra Burke is back as Deloris Van Cartier in the stage adaptation of the smash hit film,
Sister Act. The production has already been praised by critics and is by far one of the funniest and funkiest musicals you’ll see this year. (Mon 3 Oct-Sat 8 Oct)
This fantastic telling of how the Kinks rose to fame will really get you going as
Sunny Afternoon takes you back to the 60s. Sound-tracked by all the iconic tunes including Waterloo Sunset, Lola, Dedicated Follower of Fashion and All Day and All of the Night this story will be sure to make your spirits soar. (Tues 11 Oct-Sat 15 Oct)
We’ll be spending time with our fine four-fendered friend next month as the pretty
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang flies into the King’s. Starring Jason Manford, Claire Sweeney and Phil Jupitis this is still one of the world’s best-loved musicals reaching soaring heights of madness, intrigue and exuberance. (Wed 19 Oct-Sat 29 Oct)
Jason Donavan returns to the King’s especially for you in the ultimate rock and story,
Million Dollar Quartet. Inspired by the famous one time only recording session that brought together the legendary Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins this musical captivates its audience in the telling of this one unforgettable night. (Mon 14 Nov –Sat 19 Nov)
Everyone’s favourite childhood book is coming to life with the aid of 75 lovable puppets.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar stage show has been created by Jonathan Rockfeller who has already made a name for himself with the faithful adaptation of Eric Carle’s stories including Mister Seahorse and The Very Lonely Firefly. (Sun 20 Nov & Mon 21 Nov)
We’ll all be going to the ball this year as
Cinderella, the godmother of all pantos, returns to the King’s. Starring Scottish comedy legends Gregor Fisher and Tony Roper as those awfy mean and ugly sisters, the fabulous Des Clarke and a few other well-kent faces, it’s going to be a marvellous night out for the whole family this festive season. We’re throwing in a twist among the happy-go-lucky musicals in the New Year as
The Woman in Black makes it way from the page to the stage in Stephen Mallatratt’s ingenious adaptation of the Susan Hill novel. A lawyer obsessed with a curse he believes has been cast over him and his family by the spectre of a woman in black engages a sceptical young actor to help him tell his terrifying story. It all start innocently enough but you’ll have shivers running up your spine before you know it. (Tues 17 Jan-Sat 21 Jan)
Combining contemporary cirque-style artistry with adrenaline-fuelled stunt action,
Cirque Beserk is great fun for kids and adults alike. The astoundingly talented international troupe includes more than 30 jugglers, acrobats, aerialists, dancers, drummers, daredevil stunt men and of course the awards winning clown, Tweedy. (Tues 24 Jan –Sat 29 Jan)

The Wedding Singer hits all the right notes at the King’s in April.
