Following the success of last year's sell out production of West Side Story, PMOS are back at Glasgow's The Kings Theatre with the hotly anticipated show 'Made in Dagenham'. Fresh from London's West End this will be 'Made in Dagenham's' Glasgow premiere.
Set in the swinging sixties and based on true events the show follows factory girl Rita O'Grady as she becomes an unlikely feminist icon.
Devoted wife and loving mother, Ford machinist, Rita always puts her family first and ungrudgingly gets on with her work in the factory to make ends meet. But her life is about to change forever...
Unexpectedly, Rita must lead her colleagues in a battle against the might of Ford and the corruption of the Union. But in doing this Rita must make a choice she thought she'd never have to make: Should she keep up the fight against Ford and risk losing everything else?
With the unlikeliest of allies and her friends' unwavering support, Rita draws on strength she never knew she had and realises that some things in life are truly worth fighting for.
With hilarious scenes on the Ford factory floor, pulse racing dance routines, stylish sixties fashion, heart melting love songs and rousing anthemic numbers 'Made in Dagenham' is set to delight and inspire - Ordinary people can achieve extraordinary things when they stand together.
